For landscapes stopped down it is dead easy. 1,5 meters away from the camera at f/5.6 is still dead easy. Good point. Never stopped to consider the focal plane effect of ultra wide optics in the context of manual focus. With 12mm focus only becomes critical using larger apertures and/or subjects closer to the camera.

The Canon M50 has got exterior measurements of 116mm x 88mm x 59mm (4.6" x 3.5" x 2.3") along with a weight of 390 grams (0.86 lbs) and the Panasonic G95 has specifications of 130mm x 94mm x 77mm (5.1" x 3.7" x 3.0") accompanied by a weight of 536 grams (1.18 lbs). The M50 and the R10 should take similar pictures with what I guess will be largely similar dynamic range since the R10 sensor is PROBABLY based on some derivative of the M50 sensor. The R10 will have the advantage of using good RF glass, while most of the EFM mount's good glass will be of the EF variety. If you say the R7 budget will push your limit, the R10 will serve you very well. I'd write off the M50 II for any kind of faster action especially where you need to change the controls quickly. You can get used to the (single dial) settings changes on the M50 II, but two dials are faster than one. Not to mention, the R10 has a faster shooting . 174 217 336 126 259 109 28 50 346
